In Montjuïc we find different attractions such as the magical fountain, Poble Espanyol, the beautiful National Palace with the Catalan Art National Museum inside and the whole Olympic Village.
On the other hand, Tibidado hills offer the bests views of Barcelona. On the top of its 512 meters, we find a beautiful temple with a Christ similar to Brazilian Redeemer on the top. There is also a theme park which is the oldest of Europe and one of the oldest of the world.
After our nature excursion, we can spend our afternoon in the city center doing some shopping.
Portal de l’Àngel is a beautiful avenue where we can find the main fashion shops. Additionally, we can use this walk not only to get some trendy pieces of clothing, but also to enjoy the magic of Gothic neighborhood. In this centric area, we find Barcelona’s Cathedral and Sant Jaume square, where Palau de la Generalitat and city hall are located.
In case we get hungry, in this neighborhood we will find plenty of places where have dinner with a wide range of food from all around the world.
Walking along the promenade
Our second day starts in the beach. The neighborhood located next to Barcelona’s beach is called La Barceloneta. It is a traditional maritime neighborhood that perfectly combines old popular traditions, exquisite gastronomy and the unique environment of Mediterranean beaches.
This way, we can spend our morning walking along the promenade, taking a bath or playing volleyball.
It is lunch time! Would you like an outdoors economic option? Having a picnic in Ciutadella Park is the best option.
Ciutadella Park is a gorgeous park located in Ciutat Vella district. It has an imperial fountain decorated with Greek Gods sculptures and different mythological figures. We can also find a little lake and even a zoo there.
This park is a great place where we can listen to live music, play sports, have a picnic or just relax in connection with nature.
Discovering El Born
After our picnic, we can wander along El Born, a beautiful and bohemian neighborhood with a unique personality.
El Born has narrow streets which are always full of colors and life. Additionally, we find there Palau de la Música, a breath-taking modernistic concert-hall that will leave us speechless.
