You’ve worked hard to finally go away, and the last thing you want is to have a disappointing holiday after waiting for so long. One of the most important parts of having the perfect holiday is the accommodation, but with so much to choose from where do you start, and most importantly what’s best.
Most of the time accommodation really depends on who is going on holiday, for example a family, couple or a solo trip, but some types in particular take the stress out of everyday tasks and allows you to let someone else take care of everything for you. Exactly what you need for some much needed R&R.
The most common question that gets asked is should you opt for a hotels Llandudno or a self-catering apartment. The short answer really is, that it’s up to you. However, we have compiled a list of pros and cons that will hopefully help you out.
Food is a big part of going away, and for some people this can be a hindrance. If you decide to opt for a self-catering apartment, you do just that, cater for yourself. Some people enjoy doing this, sourcing local foods and cooking together, allowing you to sit down with your friend and family. However, most of us when we go away prefer to have our food made for us, besides you’re on holiday right? Hotels almost always have their own restaurants Llandudno, which will take the worry out of deciding what to cook for dinner and making sure you’ve all the right ingredients.
Do you prefer sticking to your own schedule and doing whatever you want without any bother or hassle from anyone else? Then choosing an apartment might be for you. By having your own private apartment, you won’t be bothered in the most unexpected moments and will be able to feel at ease as if you were in your own home. However, if you don’t mind getting up early whilst on holiday and love the fact that you don’t have to worry about cleaning then opt for a hotel.
If you are travelling with family then space is really important. Opting for an apartment will give you shared communal spaces with sofas, tables and chairs and plenty of privacy. If you decide to opt for a hotel, you will need to bare in mind that you aren’t the only ones staying there and that a little hustle and bustle in the corridors is a given, due to other families staying. However, hotels are ideal if you have a larger holiday party who won’t be able to fit into one apartment, meaning no one has to travel from place to place to start the day off.
Depending on the size of your party will depend on how large the accommodation needs to be. If you have a family larger than 4 you will usually pay more for private accommodation due to there being limited places with more than two or three bedrooms. It is suggested that if you are travelling in a larger party to opt for a hotel, not only will you save money but it’s easier to split the bill with your friends, allowing everyone to pay their part, reducing any pesky arguments.
So depending on what type of holiday you want to opt for, it will depend on the accommodation that you choose to best suit you. Both types of accommodation have pros and cons, but it just depends on what matters to you more.
