Buckinghamshire is known for its gorgeous countryside and historic houses and there is plenty of great things that you can do here on a day out. It is located right on London’s doorstep and you will find lots of lovely villages, market towns and stunning country houses.  Most of its great tourist attractions are open throughout the year and here we are taking you through some of our favourite things to do Buckinghamshire.

Abbotts View Alpacas

A great day out for all the family is Abbots View Alpacas. Here, you can go and see lots of cute alpacas and you can choose to go on an alpaca walk, visit the needlefelting workshops and even enjoy private alpaca experiences. You can visit their website to find out more about their history and story and you can also sponsor an animal here if you choose to do so.

Rebellion Beer Co.

While Abbotts View Alpacas is great for the kids, if you are looking for a day out in Buckinghamshire for the adults then we would recommend going to Rebellion Beer Co. This is a microbrewery that produces a range of quality fresh and bottled beers. They have a brewery shop, brewery membership programme and there are also brewery open nights for you to attend. A range of beers for you to ty include Amber, Zebedee, Smuggler and Roasted Nuts. The brewery started back in 1987 and was set up by two friends Mark Gloyens and Tim Combs. New equipment was installed in 2016 and the brewery now can produce double the capacity that it previously could up to 50 brewers’ barrels.

Formula Fast Indoor Karting

Another great day out for all the family is to visit Formula Fast Indoor Karting. This is a multi-award winning indoor karting experience and is one of the biggest tracks in the UK. Here you can enjoy junior karting for kids from ages 8 to 14, access karting and adult carting. The track here was designed with Formula 1 professionals and boasts over 500m of track. With lots of technical corners, this is a day out that you won’t want to miss out on.

Bletchley Park

At Bletchley Park, you will discover their story and uncover their secrets. This was once the highly secretive home of the World War 2 codebreakers and it is now a vibrant heritage attraction. You can find out more about how Bletchley Park became home to the code breakers, the different types of machines and codes that were used during World War Two and its impact on the Second World War. You can book tickets online and they regularly hold fun events that are free with admission. Make sure to check it out next time you are visiting Buckinghamshire.
